Transport terms and conditions

Terms for every VoltFleet job.

Version 2.0, effective 21 October 2026. The terms that apply to you are those in your accepted quote.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms apply to every man and van, removal, delivery, courier, haulage and freight job (a "job") that VOLTFLEET LTD (company number 17522745), 56 Orchard Road, Enfield, EN3 4PJ ("VoltFleet", "we", "us") carry out for you. They apply together with the quote we send you. If you are a consumer (using the service for purposes outside your trade, business or profession), nothing in these terms takes away your statutory rights.

2. Quotes and confirming a job

Every job is quoted individually, in writing, based on the details you give us. The quote states the price and what it includes. A quote is not a booking. A job is confirmed only when you accept the quote and we confirm the driver and the time.

If the job turns out to be different from the details you gave us, for example more items, different addresses or more difficult access, we will tell you before we charge more, and you can decide whether to go ahead.

3. What you tell us

Please give us accurate details: the collection and delivery addresses, the date and time, the items and their rough sizes and weights, and access at both ends, including floors, lifts, stairs and parking. Photos of large or awkward items help.

4. What we will not carry

We may decline to carry anything that is illegal, dangerous, hazardous, flammable, or unsafe to carry, live animals, cash, jewellery or documents of value, or anything that is not what you described to us.

5. Access and parking

You are responsible for making sure we can reach the items and the vehicle can stop close enough to load and unload, including any permits you need. If access or parking problems make the job longer than quoted, we will tell you before any extra charge is made.

6. Our service

We provide a van and a driver, and helpers where your quote says so. We will carry out the job with reasonable care and skill and aim to arrive at the agreed time. Times can be affected by traffic, weather, road closures, and we will keep you informed if we are delayed. We do not dismantle or reassemble furniture, or connect or disconnect appliances, unless your quote says so.

7. Your goods and insurance

Our work is covered by goods-in-transit and public liability insurance. Your quote states the terms, including any limit, and what is excluded. Tell us the value of anything valuable before the job, and arrange your own cover where the value is above the limit in your quote. Tell us before the job about anything of high value or that needs special handling.

8. Payment, minimum and waiting charges

You pay the price in your quote on the terms stated in it. Any minimum charge, waiting-time charge and VAT treatment are shown in your quote before you accept it.

9. Loading, unloading and unsafe loads

Your quote states whether loading, unloading, packing, stairs and waiting time are included. Our drivers may decline handling or loads that are unsafe or exceed the vehicle's limits. Estimated arrival times are not guaranteed unless we agree that in writing.

10. Changes and cancellation

Tell us as early as you can if you need to change or cancel a job. Any charge for a change or cancellation will be stated in your quote and will be limited to reasonable, evidenced costs and unavoidable losses, taking account of work done and costs avoided. We do not keep the full price automatically. You can withdraw from a quote at any time before you accept it, at no cost. If you are a consumer, nothing in this section affects any cancellation rights you have by law.

If we have to cancel because a driver or vehicle is unavailable or for another reason outside our control, we tell you as soon as we can, refund anything you have paid for the job and, where we can, offer an alternative.

11. Damage and claims

Please check your goods on delivery and tell us about any damage or loss as soon as possible, ideally on the day, with photographs or receipts where you have them. Late notice does not remove your legal rights. We will look into it fairly and tell you what we find.

12. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

If you are a consumer, we are liable for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or by our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

If you are a business, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for a job is limited to the price you paid us for it, or to a higher sum stated in your quote.

13. Complaints

If something goes wrong, email info@voltfleet.co.uk as soon as possible, ideally within 7 days of the job, and we will respond within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution service, and consumers can also contact Citizens Advice.

14. Personal data

We use personal data as described in our Privacy policy.

15. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. We may update these terms for future jobs; the version in force when you accept your quote applies to that job. Questions: info@voltfleet.co.uk.
